Mini-Mag Issue 1: Fall 2025
Roles: Editor, Creative Director, Layout Designer, Stylist, Photographer
Armour’s first-ever mini-magazine dives into the life of our cover star, Lauren Speicher, a member of the Class of 2026 who has spent most of the past year in two cities far from St. Louis: Venice and Florence. Also featuring some never before seen editorials, current topics in fashion, what to watch this month, and much more.
As Editor-in-Chief, I wanted to expand Armour beyond traditional editorials and start exploring the art and culture that shape our community. That vision led to the creation of the mini-mags, small, focused issues that highlight students’ personal takes on culture, music, film, fashion, art, and more. As the editor of the Fall issue, I had the honor of thoughtfully curating this edition’s team and direction.
For the Fall cover shoot, I aimed to capture Lauren’s personal style in a way that felt true to her. We pulled pieces straight from her own closet and shot in Forest Park known to be an iconic setting for the WashU experience. The photos, taken by her friend, reflect not just Lauren’s aesthetic but also the comfort and authenticity that come from being seen by someone who knows you well. The result is an editorial that feels both intentional and genuinely her.
